Treasure Chest Thursday -- 1942 Christmas Cards

Today I want to share the remaining Christmas Cards that were among the treasured items belonging to great-grandma Piggott. These were all sent in 1942.

The above card was sent to Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Piggott from Bob Smith of Ogden, Utah. He was their nephew on great grandma's side.

This one was addressed to Mr & Mrs. William Piggot sent by Claude and Elma Reay of Randolph, Utah. Claude is great grandpa's cousin.

This one is addressed to Mr. & Mrs. William Piggott & family from Mr. & Mrs. Levere Smith of Georgetown, Idaho. Mrs. Smith (Carmen Adelaide Hess Smith) is great grandpa's cousin.

This one is addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Wm Piggott from Mr. and Mrs. Milford A. Piggott and Sharon of Sparks, Nevada. I have not been able to figure out a relationship between these two families or how they knew each other.

Milford Piggott is not a Piggott relative at least for 3 generations that I can find of his ancestors. From what I have been able to find Milford Alma Piggott was born 13 Jun 1907 in Utah and died 6 Apr 1979 in Sacramento, California. He was the son of William Martin Piggott born abt 1862 in Indiana, who was the son of Joseph Piggott born abt 1840 in Indiana, who was the son of Samuel Piggott born abt 1806 in Ohio.

Looks like I may be doing a bit of research on this Piggott family!

  2. Thanks for sharing these cards. I happened upon them when I was doing a search of my grandfather, Milford Piggott's, birthdate. It was fun to see a card with my grandmother's handwriting.
