But if you are - I have something perhaps of interest(?). I'm descended from Milly Cooper via her daughter Harriet Cooper (older sister to Nancy). I saw your research a while ago, but I've recently seen some upgrades to my Ancestry account which has revealed new insights into this line of the family. via more DNA information. Milly as far as I can tell right now has had unknown parenthood and Harriet carried her surname and had no registered father. I'm not sure Milly ever married. And Harriet went on to have her first child (my great-great grandfather) out of wedlock so they are a mystery family line with significant holes that luckily DNA has been starting to fill in. I just discovered that with the new Ancestry DNA "upgrade" to their tech, that they are able to identify people through certain through lines or common ancestors, etc... and now I'm just seeing that I share common DNA with identifiable descendants of Miles. At present it is suggesting that he is my 4th great-grandfather and that these "Austin" descendants are half-cousins. SO, it's really suggesting that Miles was the father at least to Milly's daughter Harriet. Unless there is some other familial tie that hasn't quite been figured out... but it is fairly mathematical around the degrees to which you are related to someone and I cannot begin to interpret it all properly. All I know is that I clearly share DNA segments with Miles' descendants and that means we are related to some degree which either proves your theory that he was related to Milly and/or he actually had at least a child with her. It's very curious! I was just wondering if you'd learned anything more in there intervening years and if there was anything else worth sharing... otherwise I just wanted to contribute what I've just learned. I am really fascinated by these results! I wouldn't have guessed the information you posted related to me this directly potentially. - MW (NYC)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1700684286713079888.post-11272316315838278202017-03-22T11:59:17.139-04:002017-03-22T11:59:17.139-04:00We are also looking for Ransom and Priscilla Austi...We are also looking for Ransom and Priscilla Austin. My son Seth Austin has dived in and went back 8 generations of Austin's but it stops there. I sure would like information on Ramson and where he was born!!
